Description

One of our most popular selections, this boneless spiral sliced beauty is accented by a hand-applied honey glaze that gives this ham a deliciously mild, sweet flavor. Naturally moist and tender, it's gently smoked for 24 hours over glowing Applewood embers, fully cooked, and spiral-sliced into neat, even slices.

Your guests will be impressed, and they'll never guess how little time you spent preparing it. Serve at room temperature or gently warm in your oven. Choose from three convenient sizes. Not a water-added product.

Store & Prepare

To Store: Refrigerate immediately if you plan to use within 5 weeks. To serve later place in freezer upon receipt, Will keep up to 1 year in freezer with no loss of flavor; thaw in refrigerator for 2 days prior to serving.

To Serve: Ham is fully cooked and ready to serve, hot or cold.

Oven warming: If you prefer to gently warm, preheat oven to 275°F. Cover ham tightly with foil and heat 20 minutes per pound, or to internal temperature 120°F.  Do not over heat. Excessive heating will dry the meat's natural juices.

Tip: This ham is uniformly spiral sliced to, and around, the bone for your serving convenience. To separate from the bone, use a tip of a knife to make a lengthwise cut between the slices and bone.

Perishable Label ???

 

WARNING TO ALL SHIPPING A GIFT. Gift recipient was not at home when package delivered (my bad timing placing the order so the low rating is not a reflection of Neuske's fast delivery service). However..... even though it was too late to salvage the ham and bacon once they arrived home, my daughter-in-law, who works for a state health department and inspects restaurants for food safety (oh, the irony!), said the "Perishable" marking was not at all attention-grabbing. She obviously did not see the "marking" and unknowingly placed the unopened box under the Christmas tree since they didn't know that Neuske's was a food-based company. I receive packages shipped in dry ice that have bright red stickers all over indicating contents are perishable and must be refrigerated immediately, such as the one I received as a gift from Omaha Steaks. Very disappointed that this box was plain and the contents inedible. Please, Neuske's... do a better job with marking the boxes.

Very Disappointed

 

I have been a fan of your applewood smoked bacon for years. When Fresh Market attempted to replace it I mounted my own campaign to bring it back. The #554 ham that I purchased was a completely different experience. Using the instructions that came with the ham to prepare it, I found the results to be dry, grainy and mediocre in taste. I've had much better hams at a fraction of the price.

Disppointed

 

The 10 pound ham just was not a hit at Christmas dinner. I recall the Nueskes hams of 1989-1995 or so - smoky and delicious, moist and terrific. Always reaching for more from the plate of ham on the special occasion table. This one was dry, and not so great. People raved over the salad, raved over the potatoes - nobody mentioned how wonderful the dry ham was. The ham was servied heated - following directions with heating in a sealed pan. A small amount of fluid was in the pan when it started and the pan was about 1/2 full of liquid when the ham was ready to serve. I would never get a spiral sliced ham again. Nueskes, I might give you one last chance at a whole bone in ham, perhaps it is still as good as my memory, but I'll never reach for a spiral again.
