The 10 pound ham just was not a hit at Christmas dinner. I recall the Nueskes hams of 1989-1995 or so - smoky and delicious, moist and terrific. Always reaching for more from the plate of ham on the special occasion table. This one was dry, and not so great. People raved over the salad, raved over the potatoes - nobody mentioned how wonderful the dry ham was. The ham was servied heated - following directions with heating in a sealed pan. A small amount of fluid was in the pan when it started and the pan was about 1/2 full of liquid when the ham was ready to serve. I would never get a spiral sliced ham again. Nueskes, I might give you one last chance at a whole bone in ham, perhaps it is still as good as my memory, but I'll never reach for a spiral again.
