Description

Now, dining on succulent, flavorful pheasant is a pleasure everyone can enjoy. Pheasant meat is not tough, the flavor is not gamey. No, these whole Applewood-smoked pheasants are just a bit firmer than chicken (but never tough), with a mild, delicious flavor.
 
Served with wild mushrooms, nuts or dried fruit, they make an elegant entrée to delight your guests or highlight your party buffet table. Fully cooked, ready to serve gently heated or at room temperature. Average weight: 2 1/2 lbs. each. Not a water-added product.

Store & Prepare

To Store: Refrigerate immediately. Unopened package will keep for 11 weeks in your refrigerator or up to 1 year in freezer with no loss of flavor: Once opened, enjoy within 1 week.

To Serve: Smoked poultry is cured, smoked, fully cooked and ready to serve, hot or cold.  Remove any netting before heating or slicing.  Meat will appear pink (due to smoking). 

Oven Warming:
  If you prefer to gently warm pre-heat oven to 325 °F. Place poultry in roasting pan, add 1/4 cup water, cover tightly with foil and place on oven rack.  warm approximately 15 minutes per pound, or to internal temp of  120°F.  Do not overheat.
