Ingredients
- 1 cup roasted butternut squash
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon ginger powder
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ⅛ teaspoon sea salt
- 1 12-inch pre-baked pizza crust
- Olive oil
- ½ cup Olive oil
- ½ cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 2 links Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Jalapeño Bacon Cheddar Bratwurst, sliced on the bias, ¼-inch thick
- 2-3 large fresh sage leaves, chopped
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- Hot flavored honey
Method
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- To prepare the butternut squash puree, combine squash, cinnamon, ginger powder, paprika, brown sugar and salt in a blender and puree until smooth. Set aside.
- To prepare the pizza crust, brush the crust with olive oil.
- Spread desired amount of butternut squash puree on the crust. Top with the shredded mozzarella and Gruyere cheeses and bratwurst.
- Top with chopped sage leaves. Bake for 7-10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is golden brown.
- Remove the pizza from oven and spoon dollops of ricotta on top. Drizzle with desired amount of hot flavored honey. Slice and serve.
