Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons green pepper, finely diced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¾ teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 12-inch pre-baked pizza crust
  • Olive oil
  • 8 oz. mozzarella ball, sliced
  • 4 oz. Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Canadian Bacon, each piece cut into thirds
  • Prepared chili crisp
  • 6-8 fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped
  • Black sesame seeds to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. To prepare the pineapple pico, combine pineapple, onion, and green pepper in a bowl. Add the lime juice, cinnamon, and ginger powder. Set aside.
  3. To prepare the pizza crust, brush the crust with olive oil.
  4. Top crust with mozzarella cheese and Canadian bacon. Place directly on the oven rack and bake for 7-10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is golden brown.
  5. Remove the pizza from oven and sprinkle with the pineapple pico, and prepared chili crisp to taste. Top with chopped basil leaves and black sesame seeds. Slice and serve.
