Ingredients
- 1 lb Lean ground beef (80/20 blend)
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 4 Large eggs
- 12 strips Nueske's Applewood Smoked Medium-Sliced Bacon cooked & drained
- 4 Hamburger buns
- 4 pieces Green leaf lettuce, rinsed & dried
- 4 slices Tomatoes
- 4-8 slices Red or White Onions
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange bacon slices on a foil lined baking sheet fitted with a wire rack. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until crisp. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide into four equal portions and shape into patties about ½ inch thick. Grill or broil to your desired doneness. Transfer to a tray and keep warm.
- In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium high heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Cook to your preference, sunny side up, over easy, or well done. Remove from heat.
- To assemble, place the bottom halves of the buns on a serving tray. Layer with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Top with the burgers, followed by bacon and a fried egg. Finish with the top buns.
- Serve with your favorite condiments.
