Ingredients
- 6 oz Nueske's Applewood Smoked Bacon
- 8 oz Cavatappi Noodles
- 1/2 Cup Yellow Onion
- 1/4 Cup Celery
- 1 Tbsp Fresh Garlic
- 1/4 Cup Bell Peppers, sliced
- 1/4 Cup Sauvignon Blanc Wine
- 2 Cups Heavy Cream
- 1/4 Cup Grated Parmesan
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Kosher Salt
- 5 oz Smoked Gouda Cheese
Method
- Sauté onion, celery, and pepper, until translucent. Add garlic for 2 minutes - do not brown. Then de-glaze with white wine and stir bottom of pan vigorously.
- Boil 8 oz cavatappi noodles.
- Cook bacon in oven simultaneously, 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Combine cream, salt, and black pepper, bring to a boil. Simultaneously shred gouda cheese.
- Once cream is boiling, add parmesan and gouda to thicken stirring constantly.
- Combine cavatappi noodles.
- Assembly: Cook cavatappi noodles, combine in pasta sauce, and put into desired container. Cover with panko breadcrumbs & grated parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes.
