Mettwurst Runza

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough (thawed)
  • 2 C. Nueske's Mettwurst, cubed
  • 1/2 C. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 slices Nueske's Bacon, diced
  • 1/4 C. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 C. rutabaga, diced
  • 1/2 C. potato, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • Dipping Sauce:
  • 1/4 C. Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 C. sour cream

Directions

Thaw the frozen bread dough until it starts to rise. Roll the dough as thin as possible. Cut into 8 to 10 pieces. Press into circles. Mix the remaining ingredients together dividing equally among all the bread circles. Wrap bread around mixture pressing edges tightly together to secure. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Serve warm with Dijon dipping sauce.
