  • 1 1/4 C carrots, sliced
  • 1 C celery, diced
  • 1/4 C onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 cans (15oz) great northern beans, rinsed and drained
  • 3 C chicken broth
  • 1 1/4 C Nueske's Smoked Ham, cubed 1/4 inch
  • 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 Tbsp parsley, chopped


Melt butter in large saucepan. Add and sauté carrots, celery and onion until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove bay leaf and discard. Add the parsley immediately before serving. Serve hot
