Kielbasa Risotto

Serves: Serves 6-8


  • 2 C. Nueske's Kielbasa, cut in cubes and fried slightly (1/2 lb.)
  • 1 can (14 oz) ham broth
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 1 C. uncooked Italian risotto
  • 1 C. asparagus, cut into 1 in. pieces or 1 C. green peas
  • 1/2 C. Nueske's Smoked Ham, diced 1/4 in.
  • 2 tsp. fresh basil, chopped (1/2 t. dried)
  • 1/2 C. Parmesan cheese, shredded


Bring the broth, water and risotto to a boil in a large pan. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the kielbasa, asparagus or peas, ham and basil. Simmer an additional 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Blend in the cheese and serve hot.
