Smoked Kielbasa, Apples and Sauerkraut

  • 1/2 C. onion, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 32 oz. Bavarian Style sauerkraut
  • 3 C. Nueske's Kielbasa, cubed 1/2 in. (3/4 lb.)
  • 3 C. potatoes, peel and cubed 1/2 in.
  • 2 C. tart apples, cubed 1/2 in.
  • 6 slices Nueske's Bacon, fried and crumbled (divided)


In large saucepan saute onion in butter until tender. Add sauerkraut, kielbasa, potatoes, apples and 1/2 the prepared bacon. Simmer over low heat for 25 minutes. Garnish with remaining bacon.
