One of our local butcher shops is having a tough time, and I went in looking for something to buy to support the shop. Saw the smoked and pepper bacon, and thought "Why not?". Bought one package. Nice balance of fat and meat. For *my* taste, the peppering is just perfect for breakfast, either eating alone or in a sandwich.
Oddly enough, we're cooking less bacon per meal than before -- the flavor (and flavoring through pepper) is stronger. So less bacon, but more enjoyable. Win!
Went back, bought two more packages. They're just about gone now. Next plan: Go back and buy the remaining stock ;)
