Brats with Peppers and Onions

Ingredients
- 2 lbs Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Bratwurst (approximately 10 links)
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Cup White Onion, quartered or sliced
- 1 Cup Red Onion, quartered or sliced
- 3 Bell Peppers, sliced
- 3 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1 Tbsp Chopped Parsley
- 2 Tbsp Fresh Basil
- 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Method
- Heat the olive oil in a large 10”-12” skillet over medium high heat.
- Add the sausage and onions and cook for 2 minutes frequently stirring.
- Add the sliced peppers, garlic, salt and pepper and cook for 5 minutes until the onions are translucent.
- Pour in the chicken broth and scrape any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet to enhance the flavor of the dish.
- Cover and allow to cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until the liquid is evaporated.
- Remove from the heat and top with parsley and basil. Serve immediately.
