Ingredients

  • 12 oz Nueske's Applewood Smoked Bacon
  • 1 Package Corn Bread Mix
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 Jalepeños
  • 2 oz Green Onions

Method

  1. Mix cornbread contents and add 1 cup shredded cheddar. Remove seeds from jalapeños & dice-add to cornbread mix.
  2. Bake cornbread in the oven at the same time as the bacon. Immediately after removing bacon from oven, sprinkle brown sugar on top of all slices.
  3. Cut cornbread into bite size pieces and skewer 1/2 pieces of candied bacon on top. Garnish with thinly sliced chives.
